Breast Augmentation: Breast
augmentation enlarges and contours breasts with silicone implants; for
inherently small-breasted women, women desiring larger breasts, breast
glandular hypomastia after pregnancy & nursing and for male to female sex change
operation as an ancillary procedure. Silicone implants are inserted below the
chest muscles to give a fuller and aesthetic appearance of breasts. Incision is
given from the inframammary crease and a pocket is dissected under the chest
muscle. The scar is hidden under the newly enlarged breasts. It is one of the

Breast reduction (For Heavy
breasts): Very large breasts can cause headaches, back or neck pain, arm or hand
numbness, rashes, decreased activity, and psychological concerns , fungal
infection,apart from being a social problem. Surgery removes excess breast and
fatty tissue, reduces areola, and lifts the breast for a smaller, more desirable
appearance. It can cause decreased sensations & decreased milk formation.

Breast lift / Mastopexy :Removes

Nipple inversion :inverted nipples can be corrected with a minor procedure to
improve projection, appearance, and for breast feeding .Incisions are limited to
the nipple & usually heal very well. It is performed under local anesthesia
within half to one hour & patient can be back in within few hours. This

: reduction of large, long, or droopy nipples and/or large or puffy areola can

Nipple areola reconstruction:
Generally done after cancer reconstruction of breast or in post burn
breast deformities of breast. Procedure involves nipple elevation using adjacent
skin (skate flap) & areola reconstruction by permanent tatooing or using skin
from other areola or medial thigh.
Post Mastectomy reconstruction of
breast: Is done after mastectomy done for carcinoma breast. Generally lower
abdominal skin with abdominal muscle is used to reconstruct the breast.
Gynaecomastia (female type male breast): Is a condition in which
the male breast tissue enlarges and looks like female breast. This
increase in tissue usually occurs due to hormonal changes. They
are treated by a combination of liposuction and excision of breast
tissue.
