Medical tourism is defined as an act of traveling to other places or countries for medical surgery or treatment combined with a short stay or holiday.
Medical tourism has been on rise from last few years in all over the world. There has been a steady rise in people from countries like UK and USA opting for medical tourism for their treatments.

There are various factors responsible for taking this decision.
• Increase in the cost of treatment in the developed nations like UK and USA.
• Long Waiting periods for getting medical treatment in countries like UK
• Low cost of treatment options available in other countries.
• Fall in the cost of International transport due to emergence of low cost or no frills airlines.
• Improvement in the medical standards of the health care facilities in countries providing medical treatment to medical tourists.
• One can combine a relaxing holiday along with a medical surgery or treatment.
• One can make a good saving even after having a medical surgery and holiday.
• Private health care facilities in most of the countries popular for medical tourism are at par with the medical facilities in countries like UK and USA and some times even better

It is quite beneficial, since money left from the difference in prices can cover transportation, accommodation and leisure expenses. Moreover, if everything is wisely organized, some money can be left on a side. And people, who anyway are planning on traveling to Agra to visit Taj-Mahal one of the modern day wonders and an epitome of love, can combine both traveling excitement and additional changes in their appearance and life.
