TUMMY TUCK
Abdominoplasty or "tummy tuck" is a cosmetic surgery
procedure used to make the abdomen more firm. The
surgery involves the removal of excess skin and fat
from the middle and lower abdomen in order to
tighten the muscle and fascia of the abdominal wall.
This type of surgery is usually sought by women with
loose tissues after pregnancy or individuals with
sagging after major weight loss.

If you
have any or some of the underlying conditions, you
may want to consider this option.
• abdominal skin that is excess or sagging
• a protruding abdomen that is out of proportion to
the rest of your body
•
abdominal muscles that have been separated and
weakened
• excess fatty tissue that is concentrated in your
abdomen
Recovery may take 1-3 weeks. Known complications
include fluid or blood collection, scarring, areas
of numbness, skin flap sloughing, adhesions (scar
tissue).
Abdominoplasty
can be combined with liposuction
contouring, breast reduction, breast lift, or
hysterectomy or other lower body lift procedures
like thigh lift, buttock lift etc.
Arm
Lift:( Brachiaplasty) also known as "arm tightening"
is a procedure done to excise the extra loose
hanging skin from the arms. This looseness of skin
occurs as a result of advancing age or significant
weight loss. Although the looseness of arm is
improved, this procedure leaves a permanent and
noticeable scar on the inner side of the arm.
Thigh
& Buttock Lift: Thigh and buttock lift are surgical
procedures to remove excess skin and fatty tissues
from the thighs and buttocks .
Both
Liposuction and tummy-tuck can be combined with each
other & with other procedures such breast implant ,
repair of incisional hernia(Photo 7,8).
